Macedon Street Dental Staff

Dedicated to providing professional and caring service to our patients.

DR MARK SALANOWSKI

After 32 enjoyable years at Macedon Street Dental, Mark decided it was time to hang up his dental loupes. It has been a privileged journey – to see the practice grow, to see his patients grow and start their own families, to work alongside numerous colleagues and to share both the good times and the hard yards of running a busy practice with a wonderful band of loyal and dedicated staff.

He does miss his chats with his regular patients and wishes them well for the future.

His two dogs and possibly even his wife are delighted to have him home full time. Travel, cooking, gardening , improving at chess and lawn bowls keep him partially occupied. Last but not least, he is finally making some inroads into his wine collection.

He eventually moved to Sydney upon which he acquired his Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree in 2004.

Since then, Neil has practiced general dentistry across various clinics in Melbourne and surrounding suburbs, and he has developed skills and strategies to treat various kinds of problems relating to teeth. He values the importance of people’s awareness regarding their oral health – he doesn’t only treat the issues, he provides patients with ways to take care of their teeth.

Neil has a kind and caring nature and has often been referred to as a “gentle giant” by his patients and colleagues. He loves working with children and has an interest in preventive and restorative dentistry. You can count on Neil to be honest, transparent and readily available to offer his patients practical and sound dental advice.

When he’s not looking at teeth, Neil loves to go for a drive and bring his camera to take landscape photos. He also keeps active by cycling, and occasionally playing basketball. He unwinds with his family and friends by watching movies and playing video games and trying out different restaurants.
